Step 1: Our Professional Development committee is currently working with Apple, EdTech Zone, and Mapletronics to set
dates for staff training on the MacBooks and training specific to a successul 1:1 implementation at the high school

producers of knowledge and fully engage with the learning process. Professional development is one of the most
important pieces of this process.
Step 2: Steve Gall (our technology integration coach for the Bremen district) has already started his "mini-sessions" to
allow teachers the flexibility to get a head start on their Professional Development. Topics have included:
* Collaboration sites for students and staff
* Web 2.0 tools (online learning tools and web based productivity software)
* Using the MacBook
* Web-based tools for digital curating
* Digital curriculum sites and programs for developing digital curriculum

Phase 6: Agreements and Policies
Status: Ready
Step 1: Our Policies and Procedures committee has spent months researching, evaluating, and synthesizing information
in an effort to create the best possible agreements and policies that will ensure a safe and effective 1:1 learning

current 1:1 schools.

parents, implications of the initiative, care for the laptops, digital citizenship, possible infractions for misuse, and
insurance for the laptops. The last page of the document is the contract students and parents will be expeceted to
sign during orientation before receiving their laptop.
